You Can't Win If You Don't Play

shades
"Dollar to play! Dollar to win!"

That's what the lady running the water-gun race game at the carnival would yell to travelers down the midway. I heard this several times a day when I was running the inflatable castle right across the dirt path from her. She spoke the truth and those words still ring in my ears (along with the loud bell and the Flintstones theme song that played every time she got a few players).

You, dear reader do not need to take such a financial risk to win a prize from me.

This is my 100th post on Bristol Bored!

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and you could win a signed, matted print of this image.

The contest closes Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 9:00pm EDT.

This image reminds me of grandma, she was always missing one glove.

I sometimes wonder about what happened to all of the single mislaid gloves I've left in my wake over the years - then I wonder if the people who find them wonder about me. Then I pull into a parking spot and hit the local Marshall's to buy a new pair of gloves! Keep on blogging, my friend! Xo

Congrats! I love the art, the Scattered lines contrast to well with the sharp subject.

I have tried to comment about 5 times and something has stopped it from going through each time, so I don't think I am meant to win this. But I wanted to say congrats on 100 posts anyway. This picture does look a lot like me, I think.

Hi,
Love Moira's work. Infact, I have a posible project for a show about the airport I need to talk to her about. Could use a great postcard and poster image.

This image makes me the key moment in a mystery novel... later, we find out her real identity because of matching flecks of brown nail polish inside her missing suede glove!!

Love this image. I want to write a short story from the point of view of the glove on the table. Then another one from the point of view of the one in the bag.
